Impacts on Education from the Adjunct Condition at UVSC

1. The Student Experience
        - gather student opinions and experiences
        - factors: lack of office space, adjunct other employment needs & impacts,
- institutional accreditation requirements and how UVSC measures up.

2. The Adjunct Experience
    - job demands
    - remuneration (pay)
    - dedication, reasons for teaching
    - adjunct turnover rate and causes
    - adjunct opinions and experiences

3. The Administration Viewpoint
    - administration opinions and experiences
    - compare to comparable institutions/sister schools
    - Are we shooting ourselves in the foot by not taking adjuncts more seriously?
    - Are adjuncts really "Part Time" employees?

4. Solutions / steps in the right direction
    - Another tier in the program: part time and committed adjuncts
        * time requirement
        * competency and/or merit certification
        * pay increase and/or other benefits/opportunities
    - if no office space, at least provide lockers (please not only in Education Building)
    - collective lobbying state legislature to fund pay increase (by students, faculty, administration, with community support - this is how you get things done in academia and politics)
    - form better adjunct representation organization? (what's currently available?)
    - gather more data regarding turnover rates, reasons, etc. - have an adjunct exit poll.
