Exercises

Action Verbs can make your writing more interesting (good Pathos) and effective.  Practice replacing the "be" verbs in the following sentences with action verbs.  You may have to change the sentence a lot, but that's no problem, as long as you get strong writing out of it.  It can be a little tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it'll happen naturally as you write and you'll feel the difference in your writing.
