Give me a Mountain
by shaun bradley roundy
Give me a Mountain,
A canyon to climb.
Give me an ocean
To cross.
Give me a moment
An hour to call mine
Give me a lifetime,
Ill pay any cost.
But give me my choices
And let me run free
Give me a chance
In this world so wide
To determine just who I will be.
Ill walk till Im weary
Ill run till Im faint
Ill spend myself pushing the line.
Ill spread myself thin
And then pile it high
Just give me a chance and the time.
Theres something inside me
That has to get out
And it wont let me rest till its gone.
Its a long line that drives me
And I have no doubt
That Ill never stop till its drawn.
So give me a challenge
I can face, see, and scale
Give me one step at a time
A thousand mile journey
Ill laugh all the way
Ill spend every second and dime.
But give me a finish
A place to arrive
Hot shower, warm kisses
Welcoming me.
Candle light dinners
At the end of the day
Let there be an end
To the journey.
