Why should a writing textbook contain a chapter on critical thinking?
Because your thoughts form one of several links in the chain of your
paper. Every aspect of writing - logos, pathos and ethos - either holds or
breaks under investigation. No degree of brilliance of style, research, or
punctuation can rescue a weak or insipid ideological foundation. True Alevel
writing should include a degree of insight and analysis or application
as well as nearly flawless form.
