Clarity
The three principal barriers to clearer writing are 1. understanding what
clear writing consists of, 2. recognizing when you have a clarity problem,
and 3. figuring out what to do about it.
By the end of this chapter, you’ll have a better grasp on #1 and some
experience with strategies for tackling #3. As for #2…don’t overanalyze it
because the problem is already on the way to its solution.
